The technology that we use for our eKarz is simple and reliable. We use DC motors and lead-acid batteries because they are both durable and relatively inexpensive. And our cars can be upgraded to more advanced and more expensive lithium ion batteries. But we think that you'll see your eKar as being more like a commuter appliance and it will serve well for many years, making short trips and running erands.
